Design functional, safe, and visually compelling interior spaces—from initial planning to final installation—while managing projects, clients, vendors, budgets, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement – Consult with clients to capture their vision, goals, budget, and functional needs .
- Concept Development – Develop design ideas, mood boards, and 2D/3D plans or renderings, using software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, BIM tools .
- Space Planning & Selection – Plan layouts, furniture placement, lighting schemes; choose materials, finishes, furnishings, fixtures
- Project & Budget Management – Create cost estimates, set timelines, order supplies, manage vendors and contractors, monitor progress, and stay on schedule
- Execution & Quality Control – Oversee installation; conduct site visits to ensure design intent and standards are met
- Compliance & Documentation – Prepare technical drawings, read blueprints, ensure adherence to building codes, safety, and accessibility regulations
- Industry Knowledge & Innovation – Keep up with emerging trends, materials, sustainable practices; integrate new technologies
- Client Follow-Up – Address concerns, finalize projects with walkthroughs, ensure satisfaction
